Expiring Coins are part of Twism's Loyalty Rewards system designed to keep the program active and rewarding for our users. Coins received as rewards or claimed as free offerings from a merchant will expire 90 days after they have been received.
Before expiration, you can use these Coins as value toward reward items with that corresponding business.
Upon expiration, these Coins become unusable and are no longer eligible for redemption.
But don't worry, you can track your Coins’ expiration from each merchant’s page in the app so you don't miss any opportunities to save! You will be notified via push notification and emails when Coins expire soon, and can track those that will expire within the next 30 days.
Redeeming with or sending expiring Coins
Whenever you have expiring Coins with a merchant and would like to redeem them for a reward item, Twism will ensure to prioritize using those Coins that will expire first. The same behavior applies if you are sending Coins to a friend.
For example, let’s say you hold a total of 10 Coins from Joe’s Coffee in your wallet, but 4 of these Coins will expire in the next 24 hours. When you proceed to redeem them for a reward item, Twism will ensure to pull from these 4 expiring Coins first before reaching for the remaining 6 in your wallet.
