Privacy and security is a key pillar in Twism’s set of values. This article will detail the personal and transactional information that Twism collects and stores. Twism does NOT sell our customer’s information. To read Twism’s entire privacy policy, please visit twism.com/privacy.

What data does Twism collect from me?

  • Account (Store ID)
  • Provider (Wix, Shopify, BigCommerce, Woocommerce, and Square)

What personal information about customers does Twism collect?

Registration of Twism Account: To use the Twism Services, you will need to register for a Twism account (a "Twism Account") by providing your details, including your name, phone, email address and a password and accepting the terms of this Agreement.

Payment Information: When you make a purchase or other financial transaction, Twism Services needs to collect some information in order to perform their services correctly (such as giving Coins when needed). In this way, the data we store when you make a financial transaction can include:

  • Financial Information: Payment card primary account number (PAN), card brand and expiration date, transaction history, trading data, and/or card owner personal information (name, phone and/or email).
  • Transaction Information: Information about the transactions you make on our Services, such as the name of the recipient, your name, the amount, currency, transaction status, and/or timestamp.

Third Party Access: You grant express permission to a Regulated Third Party to access or connect to your Twism Account(s), either through the Regulated Third Party's product or service or through the Site, you acknowledge that granting permission to a Regulated Third Party to take specific actions on your behalf does not relieve you of any of your responsibilities under this Agreement. You are fully responsible for all acts or omissions of any Regulated Third Party with access to your Twism Account(s) and any action of such Regulated Third Party shall be considered to be an action authorized by you. Further, you acknowledge and agree that you will not hold Twism responsible for, and will indemnify Twism from, any liability arising out of or related to any act or omission of any Regulated Third Party with access to your Twism Account(s).

Information we collect from you automatically: Certain information may be collected automatically, to the extent applicable by law, when you interact with or use any of our services. This information can help us improve our services and provide you with a better experience. Information collected automatically can include:

  • Online Identifiers: Geo location/tracking details, browser fingerprint, operating system, browser name and version, and/or personal IP addresses.
  • Usage Data: Authentication data, security questions, and other data collected via cookies and similar technologies. Please read our Cookie Policy for more information.

What other similar technologies does Twism use?: In addition to cookies, we may use other similar technologies. Among them are web beacons, used for the purpose of tracking the online movement of users of our Sites and Services and so that we can improve the quality of our services and content.

We may also use "Local Shared Objects" to collect information about the use of our services and other website operations, such as authentication.

What data does Twism collect when a customer makes a purchase?

  • Transaction Date/Time and Status (authorized or Not)
  • Transaction Amount and Currency
  • Card Information:
    • Issuer Identification Number (IIN)
    • Verification digits
    • Card Expiration Date
    • Card Brand
    • Contact information (name, email, phone number, and country)

What data is collected when a customer pays with Coins?

  • Date/Time Created
  • Payment Information (payment code, value in Coins, value in money, currency, business ID)

How long are records stored for in your system?

Customer data is retained in our system until we receive a deletion request.

How do I request Twism to delete a customer/my account?

To request the deletion of data related to a customer or your own account, please email us at support@twism.com with the details of what information you would like to be removed and we will respond within 3 business days.

Log Files

Twism follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, Twism uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.
